The Little League Baseball World Series ends Sunday with the championship game. It’s the Hawaii vs. Curacao title match Sunday afternoon at the Ramadehi Stadium in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Representing the western United States region, Hawaii defeated the Southeastern region (Tennessee) on Saturday to clinch the US title. The Caribbean native Curacao defeated Chinese Taipei to win his championship game at the International.
The Little League Baseball World Series will celebrate its 75th anniversary in 2022. It takes place in a slightly different format and an expanded field of 20 teams. The event begins on his August 17th in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and ends on Sunday.
International teams are participating for the first time since 2019. The 2020 LLWS was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Only U.S. teams will participate in 2021, when Michigan’s Taylor North Little League won was allowed. Fans are back in the stands this year as only a limited number of families were allowed into the stands in 2021 due to COVID-19 safety measures. The MLB Little League Classic took place on his Sunday, August 21st. Orioles beat Red Sox.
Chinese Taipei holds the record for 17 Little League World Series titles, while Japan holds a total of 11 titles, winning five since 2010 and most recently Japan is dominant. 7 tiles.
