Because I believe studying abroad/living abroad is such a great opportunity it makes me so sad to know what happened to this Irish student studying in Chicago last year. I guess I think about how safe I felt in Ireland, I walked alone at night a lot. But you can’t walk around at night in Chicago unfortunately. This should have never happened to anyone. Just really tragic and now the quality of her healthcare is being throw into the mix.
